ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE SUPERVISOR Appointment of the New Principal

The Supervisor and the Incorporated Management Committee of St Joseph’s College are pleased to announce the appointment of MR KWOK TIK MAN as the 31st Principal of the College, commencing on 1st September 2024.

Mr Kwok has been in the Josephian Family for 31 years: being a student in St Joseph’s Primary School (6 years), St Joseph’s College (7 years) and as a teacher in SJC (18 years).

Started his teaching career with St Joseph’s College since 2005, Mr Kwok was first appointed as Prefect-of Studies in 2018. He was later promoted to Vice-Principal (Student Affairs) in 2020. 

Mr Kwok has a passion for SJC and a firm believer of our College mission, “…to provide a Human and Christian Education to the youth…”.  His early years of formation in SJC has helped to nurture him into a very confident person with sensibility and a person of integrity and trustworthiness. His academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil Engineering) and a Master of Education (Mathematics Education) both from the University of Hong Kong. He was the only student from his batch of Class ’98 who obtained 9As in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE).


His major responsibilities and duties at School in the past and present include:  IMC Change-over Team Leader, General Affairs TIC, ECAC Vice-chairperson, Discipline Team-Junior/Senior Forms Coordinator, Vitality & Viability School Review Team, Vision 22 Team, STEM/ STEAM Coordinator, OLE Teacher-in-charge, Curriculum Team Leader, School First Aider, Hong Kong Red Cross YU17 Unit Officer, Assistant/ Deputy Staff Officer of Hong Kong Red Cross, Experienced Instructor for Youth First Aid, Youth First Aid Proficiency and Drill courses and school repairs. With this remarkable record of work he has made, it is certain that Mr Kwok is knowledgeable and capable of managing the general operation of the College. We, therefore, have every confidence that under his leadership the College will continue to excel and move on to greater heights.  We pray for God’s blessing upon him as he takes on the new post.

At the same time, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Ms Wong Yuen Fan for her sterling work leading SJC in the past 4 years, and we wish her a very happy and a well-deserved retirement after 31 long years of dedicated service to SJC and to the Hong Kong Lasallian Family.
